The conference “The Role of Women in the Security Sector“, organized by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, with the support of the British Embassy to BiH was held in Banja Luka on November 28, 2017. RS MoI Women Network members Zeljka Mileusnic, assistant commander for legality matters in the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, and Maja Gacic, a police officer from Police Station Teslic, shared their experiences on police leadership and from peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.

On September 18, 2017 a representative of the Association “RS Ministry of the Interior Women Network – RS WPON” participated as a speaker at the Skype conference “Women Police Officers Associations: Sharing Experiences and Developing an Action Plan for Increased Involvement of Women in Police”, which was held from 18-18.09. 2017. in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova for the National Association of Women in Internal Affairs System of the Republic Moldova. The conference was organized by the UNDP, the EU and the National Association of Women in Internal Affairs System of the Republic Moldova.
The aim of the conference was to assist the members of the Association to develop an Action Plan that would contribute to the increased participation of women in the police force in the Republic of Moldova.
A representative of the RS MoI Women Network presented what projects have been implemented and results achieved since the start of the Network.
From August 20 to 25, 2017 a representative of the RS MoI Women Network took part at the Women Leadership Conference in New Hampshire, USA, organized by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
From June 7 to 9, 2017 a representative of the Association “RS MoI Women Network – RS WPON“ took part at the conference “Establishing a Network of Women Police Officers in Ukraine”, which was held in Kiev, Ukraine.
The conference was organized by the Canadian Government Police Training Support Program in Ukraine and was attended by the representatives of the National Police of Ukraine and representatives of the International Association of Women in Police (IAWP).
Canada’s Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk and Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anastasia Deeva gave the address at the conference.
A representative of the RS MoI informed the present about the projects implemented by the RS MoI Women Network – RS WPON since its establishment in 2011 until present day.
The activities of the Association “Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior Women Network – RS WPON“ were highly regarded by the participants of the conference. The lessons learned during the establishment of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior Women Network and the implementation of projects will serve as a model for the establishment and further activities of a women police officers network in Ukraine.
On November 25, 2016 a representative of “RS MoI Women Network – RS WPON“ participated as a speaker at the conference „Prevention and Suppression of Domestic Violence through Victims’ Economic Empowerment Programs”, organized by the NGO “Women Center” in Trebinje and held at Hotel Talija in Banja Luka.
In addition to the Mayor of Trebinje, the conference was attended by the representatives of the RS Ministry of Labor, War Veterans and Disabled Persons’ Protection, Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports, RS Employment Institute, Lara Foundation from Bijeljina, Faculty of Economics from Banja Luka, Banja Luka College and NGO “HCL” from Banja Luka.
U vremenskom periodu od 24-25.10.2016. godine predstavnica Udruženja „Mreža žena MUP RS – RS WPON“ učestvovala je u na konferenciji „Žene u policiji – značaj umrežavanja“ koja je u organizaciji Misije OSCE u Srbiji i Švedske policije u Srbiji organizovana u Beogradu, Republika Srbija.
Predstavnica Udruženja „Mreža žena MUP RS – RS WPON“ održala je prezentaciju o aktivnostima i realizovanim projektima Mreže žena MUP RS.

A representative of the RS MoI Women Network presented what projects have been implemented and results achieved in the RS MoI Women Network.
Representatives of women police officers associations of the United Kingdom, Germany, Estonia, Sweden, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as representatives of the International Association of Women Police and the Regional Baltic-Nordic Network presented their experiences on women police officers networking.
