Representatives of the RS MoI Women Network – RS WPON took part at the workshop on “Improving the women’s role in the customs sector”, held on June 23 and 24, 2021 in hotel “Jelena” in Banja Luka.
Considering the excellent results and experience the Network has achieved, a representative of the RS WPON, Sanja Sumonja, briefed the workshop participants on the results and outcomes that the Network members have achieved during ten years of dedicated work, addressing the problems they have faced, as well as the role and career development of police and civil servants of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
This workshop is an activity within the Halting Arms and Lawbreaking Trade (HALT) project, which has been jointly implemented by UNDP and UNODC since February 2020, and which is primarily focused on the work and activities with the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH.
The workshop has aimed to encourage the promotion of gender equality in the customs service in BiH through the affirmation of the women’s role in this sector.
The workshop was also attended by the representatives of the Network of Women Police Officers from FBiH, and the representatives of UNDP, UNODC, and the Ministry of Security of BiH
